[Recipe] Marbled Banana Cake

With some time on my hand now, I am rediscovering my love for baking... so Sunday afternoons are meant only for baking. This Sunday, I added a twist to the usual chocolate and vanilla marbled cake by adding some banana, making it slightly more healthier for my Li'l Champ, who loooves cakes. And if you are wondering when will the recipe come, so I'll stop talking and take you to the recipe. Here it goes...




Let's get down to the ingredients...

This is all we require for this 




Serves: 8 Slices

Ingredients
1. Butter- 110g
2. Castor Sugar- 110g
3. Eggs- 2
4. All Purpose Flour- 110g
5. Baking Powder- 1tsp.
6. Vanilla Essence- 1tsp.
7. Banana- 1 
8. Milk- 5-6 Tbsp.
9. Cocoa Powder- 2 Tbsp.

Method
1. Prepare the cake tin by greasing it and dusting it lightly with flour
2. Preheat oven to 170 degree C
3. Sift the flour and baking powder together.
4. Mix butter and sugar together till light and fluffy.
5. Beat the eggs and add half of it in the butter-sugar mixture.
6. Fold in little flour and add some egg. Do this alternately till all the flour and eggs are used.
7. Mash banana and add it to the mixture and mix well.
8. Add vanilla essence and 3-4 Tbsp of milk to adjust the consistency.
9. Dissolve cocoa powder in  2 Tbsp of milk.
10. Keep half the cake mixture aside and in the remaining half add cocoa powder. 
11. To the cake tin add both the mixtures in alternate layers and swirl a spoon in the mixture to get marbled effect.
12. Bake the cake at 170 degrees for 50 minutes.
13. Cool it on the wire rack and enjoy!!
